YOUTH MENTORS

Grade Requirement: Rising High School Juniors and Seniors

Volunteer Details:

At Summer Camp, Youth Mentors will work closely with the Camp Staff to create and facilitate up to 3 weeks of summer camp for girls and trans/gender-nonconforming youth in the Triangle.

Responsibilities:

• Attend pre-camp training

• Facilitate guest workshop leaders, ensuring that they have resources they need

• Assist Gear Manager with equipping practice spaces

• Assist Camp Co-Directors with facilitating group activities

• Other duties as assigned and desired - As much as possible, we want to tailor this position to fit your personal interests and goals!

Qualifications:

• Commitment to our mission of empowering people of marginalized genders

• Dedicated to social justice values

• Desire to learn and grow

• Strong communication skills

• Transportation to camp locations

• Interest or experience with music is helpful
