Rock Camp for Girls
GRNC’s Rock Camp for Girls is a one week music program for Triangle area girls ages 7-16. Girls are instructed in an instrument of their choice, form bands, and write original music with their peers. Between band practices, campers attend workshops such as songwriting, self defense, DIY, zine making, deejaying, body confidence, and more! Throughout the week, girls are mentored in an empowering all-female environment by seasoned musicians, educators, and activists. The week concludes with a huge concert showcasing the original music of each of the bands at a local venue.
No musical background or instruments necessary to participate in Rock Camp for Girls!
We offer full and partial scholarships for qualifying campers!

Camp cost is $300 and is due within three weeks of acceptance into camp. Acceptance letters will be sent within a week of receiving your registration form.
FAQ
How do I find out if my daughter got into camp and how to pay?
You will receive an acceptance email within one week with details about camp and how to pay.
I need to drop my daughter off early/pick her up late. What should I do?
We offer one week of early drop off, beginning at 8:30am, for $10. We offer one week of late pick up, ending at 5:00pm, for $15. You can sign up for both options on our registration form.
Does my daughter need to bring her own instrument?
We provide all of the instruments and gear needed, but if you have something you would like to bring, we always appreciate the extra equipment! Please be aware that anything brought to camp may be used by other girls, so we advise against bringing gear of significant sentimental or monetary value.
My daughter is very mature/advanced. Can she attend the older girl’s week of camp even though she is not yet 11 years old?
We get this question a lot! At rock camp, we do stick to these age groupings. Our campers are placed in bands according to their age, instrument choice, and other factors such as musical background. Rest assured that all girls are placed in bands that are best suited for their individual needs!
